Run For Joy

Run for JoyJan Burghardt's grandmother passed away when when Jan was six years old. She had MS. Ten years later, Jan's mother, Joy, was diagnosed with MS.

Says Jan proudly, "My mom may have had MS but MS never had her."

In memory and tribute to her late mother's great appetite and spirit for life, Jan is training and running in the November 2, 2008 New York Marathon.

Jan is using the run as a way to raise money for the MS Society of Canada. To learn more about Jan's quest to run 26 miles, one mile for each year her mother lived with MS: www3.telus.net/runforjoy
