FUND RAISING

MS Walk is the MS Society of Canada's largest fundraising event. It is fun and family oriented and takes place in 20 BC communities. More than 1,000 volunteers play a critical role in it's success. Whether part of the planning committee or helping out on event day - we need you! Call the site nearest you and offer your time - you can even collect pledges too!

RONA MS Bike Tour  is the MS Society of Canada's fastest growing event - with 4 tours taking place right here in BC. As is the case with our WALK event - we require a large contingent of volunteers to help make it the success it is!

MS Carnation Campaign is the MS Society's oldest fundraising event held on Mothers day. Come help us sell hundreds of bouquets and single carnations to raise money for multiple sclerosis. Call the chapter nearest you to find out how you can help.

MS 100 Hole Challenge is a day long event that happens each September in Coquitlam. If golf is your game we also have third party golf events that would appreciate a volunteer or two. So if you like golf or just like the outdoors we've got a position just for you!

Bingo - The MS Society is looking for volunteers to help at our bingo, located at the Planet Bingo Hall, 2655 Main St. in Vancouver. Volunteers are needed to work shifts on Mondays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Gift Wrapping - Metrotown Mall in Burnaby generously offers the MS Society a booth at their mall in December. They even supply the wrap - and we supply the volunteers. Come enjoy the season of giving - and give the gift of time.

SERVICES

Peer Support Program - Do you have MS? Would you like to be trained to provide support for others who are living with MS? Call us today.

Volunteer Visitor - Through this program, volunteers will have an opportunity to meet people living with MS who may share similar interests as yours. No medical expertise or counseling ability required - just the ability to be a good friend.

Volunteer Legal Advocacy Program (VLAP) - If you are a lawyer or have advocacy experience and some time to spare - we would love to hear from you.

EDUCATION
Do you want to increase awareness of Multiple Sclerosis? From public speaking opportunities to helping out in our resource library we could use your support.

OFFICE WORK
There is always plenty to do in the office - and not enough time. If you wish to learn new office skills or share existing expertise we need you!

A SPECIAL SKILL
If you have a special skill that we might benefit from, please call us. Skills such as desk top publishing, writing, public relations, photography, data entry, or group facilitation (among many others) all have a place in helping improve the quality of life for people affected by MS.

COMMITTEES
The MS Society is always seeking volunteers interested in serving on one of our many committees. Committee members are active in guiding the work of the MS Society and in organizing our many events. The time commitment and meeting locations will vary. For more information, contact Stacey Bradshaw or call 1-800-268-7582.

Our Mission :
