Morden WALK

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the WALK in 2008! $50,756.14 was raised at the Morden WALK to support MS research and services. Get ready to lace up for the 2009 WALK!

Brandon WALKers

A special thanks to all of the volunteers and sponsors. Without your support and dedication, we would not be able to hold this event and raise the funds which go toward programs and services in the Morden area, as well as research.

Next year's Morden WALK will be on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Keep checking back for more information!

EV JANZEN
2008 SPOKESPERSON

Our 25 year old daughter Cheryl, was involved in an auto accident in 1997. She recovered, but continued to experience blurred vision, and numbness and tingling in her hands and feet.

She was eventually diagnosed with MS in 1998. What a shock! But she is the eternal optimist and fights the disease courageously. She now lives in Ontario with her husband and two young children, where she has her own clinic as a speech/language pathologist.

Cheryl is committed to healthy living including diet, physio, chiropractic and acupuncture and there have been steady improvements.

Long distance parents have a special challenge. How can we support our children?

Our family and friends participate in the Supercities Walk for MS in Morden. Charlie’s Angels team has grown to nineteen members in just five years, and a new group in Winnipeg, Angels in the City are recruiting members there.

The mission of the MS Society is “to be a leader in finding a cure”. We want to a part of that mission, and so we walk, because we can!
