The RONA MS Bike Tour Sets
a New Record: $1.5 Million to End MS!
The 21st edition of the RONA MS Bike Tour has set a new record! Thanks to the approximately 1,500 cyclists who took part in this event on the last two weekends of August, $1.5 million has been raised to fund research and services for people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families. This activity, which was organized for the benefit of the Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, took place in the Saint-Hyacinthe and Basses-Laurentides regions.
“Whether they pedalled for fun, for fitness or for a loved one, the cyclists in the RONA MS Bike Tour have definitely helped to bring us closer to the day when we will find a cure for this still incurable disease,” emphasized Louis Adam, Executive Director of the Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. “We can attribute this incredible success to the participants’ phenomenal contribution and the generous cooperation of our partners such as RONA, which has supported us for the last ten years.” |

What is the RONA MS Bike Tour?
The RONA MS Bike Tour is a National fundraising event that exists since 1990. In 2010, the 21st edition of the RONA MS Bike Tour will be held.
For more than 20 years, participants in the MS Bike Tour have crisscrossed Quebec’s roads to have fun and to promote the cause of multiple sclerosis. Together, the 13,932 participants have raised more than $10,130,000 for the benefit of the Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Share the road with us and help us achieve our objective of $1,500,000. We’ve come a long way since 1990, but we still need to keep pedalling to end SP!

Blitz Week
March : During one week, the participants were encouraged to raise $1,000 online. All the participants were eligible for the draw for the $1,500 gift certificate from VIA Rail.
The winner is Louise Paquin, of the Financière Banque Nationale Team. She raised $ 2,362 online, during this week.
May: During this week, the participants were encouraged to raise $1,000 or more nline.
All the participants were eligible for the draw for the $250 gift certificate from La Forfaiterie.
The winner is Claire Paquin.
TeamMS Captain Week
February : During a specific week, TeamMS was invited to register and earn a St-Hubert gift card for the whole group! (1 team leader and at least 3 members).
